Richard Davignon, Principal

Richard founded Davignon Martin Architecture + Interior Design in 2001 in Calgary from early opportunities and never looked back. His vast industry experience, which encompasses residential housing, the hospitality industry, and corporate and educational facilities, reflects the diversity of his talent. Among his personal achievements, Richard was recognized as one of Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40, has earned the American Institute of Architects’ Award of Excellence, and a mention of excellence from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. While growing the business, he was a frequent guest critic for Studio Level courses at the University of Calgary and was a member of the Canada Council for the Arts jury which selected the 2011 Professional Prix de Rome in Architecture. He has served as an adjudicator for the BILD Calgary region awards.

Doris Martin, Principal

Doris Martin joined Davignon Martin Architecture + Interior Design in 2008 and became a Partner in 2011.
After having collaborated on multiple projects, Doris Martin joined forces with Richard Davignon in 2008. She pursued her goals of becoming a Licensed Interior Designer and helping the firm grow through its reputation for exceptional interior design work. In 2011, she became a partner, and the firm changed its name to Davignon Martin as it is known today. Her accreditation includes NCIDQ qualifications recognized throughout North America. As one of less than 100 Licensed Interior Designers working in the province of Alberta, she was invited by the Interior Designer of Canada to participate on a panel at the Las Vegas Market in 2013.
With over two decades of experience designing interiors throughout Canada, Doris brings to the studio an invaluable eye and the expertise necessary to bring a project to fruition; a skill consistently recognized not only by her clients, but her peers in the industry.
